Appearances

Marie regularly does school and library visits, workshops and panels, teen scout events, as well as signings, and now she will also be offering Skype chats for book groups across the country!  If you would like to book a visit with the author, email marielamba@hotmail.com and put “Author Appearance” in the message line.

“Marie Lamba was one of the best young adult authors we have ever hosted at our library…I would highly recommend inviting Marie to your school, library or bookstore!” – Gretchen Ipock, YA Librarian, Sellers Library, Upper Darby, PA

“The best part of the day was Marie discussing the writing process and showing her drafts to them, illustrating that writing is an arduous task, a labor of love, and an expression of self.  She offered encouragement to all the participants to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be.  Fantastic day!” – Mary Beth Cusack,  English Teacher, Lenape Middle School, Doylestown, PA

What is the closest you come to Winchester, VA? How much per person would it be to come to VA? Thank you.

  2. marielamba Says:

    Hi Penny,

Thanks for checking in, and thanks for your interest! I just google mapped you guys, and it would be about a 4 hour drive for me to get to you. Phew! Because of the distance, the only way I could get out there would be if we were to book a few events over 2 days, and/or if the fees would cover my travel and hotel. I’m guessing you are asking about a scout workshop visit, and in that case it might get a little pricey for the girls, but you can certainly email me at marielamba@hotmail.com if you want to explore this further. If you are talking about school visits or other events where you have a budget to work with, you can also email me for more details. I’m open to travel.

Also, for girl scout groups a distance away, I’m happy to do a facebook chat or email q&a with them to help them complete their Reading IPA…if they read my novel, we could discuss it that way. I’d then be happy to send them personalized signed bookplates that they can put into my novel so their copy will be autographed. FYI, this also goes for classrooms and book clubs.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,
    Marie

      • marielamba Says:

        Hey Sevoula,

Thanks! I’m so glad you liked the book :) My next book OVER MY HEAD (the sequel to What I Meant…) should be available some time this month!!! (I’m a little excited.) Once that happens, I hope to have a few more events scheduled where I’ll be doing book signings and stuff like that, so you can check back and see if there are updates. And I’ll look forward to seeing you guys at the Collingswood Fest in October!

        Best,
        Marie
